This photo of Arrowhead Lake was taken around 6:45 PM, Sept 16, 2008 at Arrowhead Prov Park (Huntsville, Ontario). The evening sun offered a great photoshoot as it reflected the blue sky and white clouds off the lake. It was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XTI and a Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di SP AF lens at 1/100s, F/4.5, ISO 200 and a focal length of 17mm.

Shawn, BEAUTIFUL reflections, colours and contrast. This is a truly gorgeous capture and the scenery, wow. Never have been there, thanks for showing me some more great Ontario scenes.

Arrowhead Lake is well named, at least in this picture! Compositionally, most of your lines are slanting towards the middle right edge, forming a... well....arrowhead. :) I'm having a problem with my late afternoon/sunset scenes in that I get a haze forming on the horizon...and I see that it is this way up north also at this time of year. This is a beautiful, serene scene...and it looks like it will be gorgeous when the leaves turn on that far hill.

Nicely done. In my perspectives I would have wok on the color balance to enhance the image and cutting the bottom side of the photo.

I like the composition. I agree working on the color balance could really give it that "pop" and make it a great image.
