A Fort that stands almost hidden in trees, on one of the rolling hillsides overlooking Stroud.

Seems a bit blurry, and I also would've liked to see some darker shades around here, e.g.- color in sky, greenery on trees, etc. I do like the stone wall, and the "stone" feel this photo. But overall, a nice shot. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks :)
I must say..I can't see where you mean about being blurry?
I'll agree with you on your point about the sky, yes but the trees..well there is only one that had greenery on it and it is very dark already.
The other is a bushy thing that was nice and light in contrast.

Intriguing subject...but I think you may be either too close or too far! I think a really interesting angle could be quite a bit closer...with that stacked stone wall contrasting with the workmanship of the castle above and beyond. Or, as the title implies, if this is a hidden jewel...you need to be back more to show us how unexpected it is amongst the trees, etc. I do like your contrast of textures very much.

Thanks again.
It was a tought one to judge..any closer andit didn't seem as interesting, further back and there were too much scrub and trees.
It's not as big as it looks, only a fort, not a castle.
