A Flower I came across in a garden, not too long after I shot them the wind blew them off the shrub!
I decided to make this one into a wallpaper style.
G'day Bonnie,
Your presentation of this flower is great. It got me curious on a technical level, what method did you use to get the flower on the black background? I assume it was post shot processing? I simply could not tell from the edges of the petals if you'd selected it somehow and often when a background is added to a photo you can see clues. The whole thing is simple and dramatic and I think awesomely well done.
Thanks :)
I used Photoshop CS3 to remove the flower from my photograph and put it onto the dark background by selecting the origional background of green leaves (blurred) with a magic wand tool and deleting it. I used a background eraser to clean up.
I then tidied up a few blemishes on the petals by using clone stamp.
