The Celtic New Year. That is new to me, but I am glad that you talk about it. Also, your birthday? Well, a very Happy Birthday, Bonnie. You have brought all that together in this very festive presentation. It appears to me that you have some designer skills. Nicely done. I love this arrangement against the purple. The little broom is a nice touch too. Enjoy your day!

Yep, the Celtic New Year.
The Pagan Sabbat of Samhain (pronounced Sow-en or sometimes Sow-in).
The new year begins on Nov 1st and it was/is also a celebration of the turning of the seasons..the harvest being brought in and the beginning of new things.
Also the time when the veil between worlds is thinner and spirits may walk among us.
We honour the dead at this time.
