Well, more water weed than reed but still ;)
A shot of the river near my home..it was very pretty as it was so sunny that day and all dappled..pity my camera cannot do it justice but here is an attempt.

I see the reedyness you mention. The colors are really nice and so is the perspective. I wish I knew what camera you used and I could offer some suggestion maybe.
