A soft fractal created in Apophysis, water like...I decided to Photoshop the rest as you see it.

Enjoy :)

Bonnie, it also looks like a celestial storm with spiritual beings being tossed about. But, in the sea or in the sky, it is a wonderful piece.

I like! it looks like the Northern Lights, or perhaps a swirling nebula. Oh but John has a great image, I've seen The Abyss several times...

Love the shapes and the colours of the main part of the image but if I'm being honest I think the silhouette at the bottom is distracting.

Very imaginative; the fractal has lovely colours. Maybe you could use curves to cut through the haze slightly and bring the colours out? The effect might be too strong but could be worth a shot. The silhouette is pleasing; I particularly like those rocks. :-)

I don't really understand what you mean Tootles, sorry.
As for bringing colours out..well..too strong wouldn't really suit this one I thought.
