The colour contrast is primo Steve and the framing effect also nice. The dof isn't quite on the money, a lot of that lovely red foliage is a bit soft, a problem only because the red foliage is a major visual focus in the image, if it was just a framing element the softness wouldn't matter.
I really like where you placed the over hanging tree branch full of bright red leaves to the right to show more of the clear blue sky and trees on the hill...very nice Steve!

I was drawn to this image - the contrast of the distant trees and the vibrant foreground branches makes a great composition.
