This was taken at Lake Paulina, Oregon. Woke up one morning to see a thick fog had settled on the lake and it really gave the lake a mysterious feeling.
What a wonderfully eerie photograph. One can feel the early morning chill as the fog rolls in. I particularly like the plant shoots in the foreground. They add an almost sinister air to the photo which is increased by the use of black and white.
First I want to say welcome to caedes! I think you'll like it here, there are a lot of talented and helpful people.I've lived in ORegon a long time now, and I had not heard of
Lake Pauline, where abouts is that? This is a very dramatic and crispy looking scene. I especially like the grasses in the
water infront. One thing I would like to suggest is that you
make sure of the horizon line being straight. It's distracting from the true beauty of your photo by being a bit crooked. I've done the same thing many times in taking photos of the Pacific Ocean, but I finally learned to watch for it more while taking the photo. If it does happen, its an easy fix if you have PSP or Photoshop or any program that will turn the
photo a bit and then you can fix it up. But I sure do love this feeling from the foggy sky and water. Thanx a lot...Verena
