You have it backwards, Ray. These guys are in prison for being colorless.
The colored bars not only add depth and dimension, but they highlight the monotone sculpture beyond. My best guess is that you did not use selective colorization and that the sculpture is naturally this rather natural color. I'm not sure how you captured so much texture in the stone, but it adds even more depth to the shot. Your use of available light adds even more dimension.
I really enjoy your work, Ray. I've seen stuff that I'll probably never see in real life. Your time as an international spy in Europe certainly is paying dividends for those of us who view your work. I think I'm almost to the point where I can spot one of your shots in the new images section.
