This gull was hanging out on the beach one day and I just HAPPENED to be taking my own stroll with my camera....
Done with the Kodak, some slight exposure compensation done.
Enjoy!!
This is a nice close up of a gull. The bright light in the face is a tad much, but I like everything else about it. The sand and water reflections are great. Nice work.
Looks like it's contemplating whether water is too cold or not. Advise him just to jump in and get it over with. Looks like you new camera will suit you well. Nice photo.
You captured some nice lines that were formed from the surf. The diagonals kick this one up in my mind and to my eyes.
Nice natural colour as well.
Caveats? Focus is a tad soft on the bird itself. And if I may suggest ... think that an off center placement of your focal subject would tie in well with the lines you did capture ... and allow for more interpretation on the part of the viewers, by placing some more distance/space between the bird and the side of the frame that he/she is looking towards.
'We' also tend to follow the line of gaze/sight portrayed. So, some thoughts for you, that's all.
Looks like your exposure compensation was a good decision. Where the sun has caught the profile and feathers of the bird are not completely blown out. Kudos on that aspect.
Good shot, a few tweaks ... in my humble opinion ... could kick this shot up a bit more. :o)
