of Dolphins. They are bottlenose, but beyond that I'm not sure if there is further naming I should attribute. They swam along the shore, beyond the breakers and around the pier yesterday in Imperial Beach. I was walking down said pier, trying to get good pics of a pelican fishing, when I noted their dorsals breaking the water. This is one of the better ones. I know composition isn't great here, but they liked to all come up at once and it was hard to spot just where that would happen. One thing I really like is that 5 of the six visible are out of the water! Enjoy!

Really nice photo. Living in Florida on Tampa Bay, I've wasted a lot of camera memory capturing the spots where dolphins were visible "just a split second ago!" Darn shutter lag, anyway...
