My mother in law (my other mom) uses India Ink to paint Native Americans. This man, in several other posts, has a wonderful face. It is weathered and wizened and therefore drew our attention like a bear to honey. I have manipulated the sharpness and harshness of lines here but for the purpose of exacerbating his appearance.

John, a wonderful portrait of this Native American ... he appears to be in a peaceful moment. B & W was a good choice as it brings the weathered textures out in his face. I like this capture alot. Excellent capture & presentation. Faves.

This was a favorite on your website. Many thanks for posting it here, too. Wonderful B&W study.

Really like this and the others in your gallery of Native Americans... Where exactly was this powwow? I go to the local powwow here on Cape Cod every July...
