This is a Great Egret. This pic is not as sharp as I would like. We didn't see the bird till we were right on top of it so it flew off. It went to land rather quickly so I only got a few shots. They are nice, but not super nice.

What caught my eye first in this shot are the strong diagonals... the edge of the water, the wing span, the space between the birds neck and each wing. The fact that you got a full wing span is icing on the cake.

Very nice. I agree, clarity could be a little better, but it is hard to get the darned wildlife to cooperate. Sun thru the wing feathers make this photo for me. Faved.
