These birds gathered to watch the sunset too. I liked this perspective and the clouds beyond. The colors in the winter/fall are the best here. 30D; RAW, 17-40mm "L" @f/4.0

Wonderful blue light and I really like the composition. The swirls in the water and the shapes of the wet sand adds to the image. Very well done!

These birdies flew straight to my hard drive. Wonderful color here and your composition is particularly good. So that's what the end product of an "L" lens looks like.

Oh, and terrific job on the processing work as well. I wish I had this on a calendar.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

There's so much about this image to love, John. The color is subtle and natural. The movement and shimmer of water, along with the gulls and sunset reflection draw one into the story and keeps one exploring. Even the slanting pier posts are interesting even though most are devoid of detail in the shadows. I think it would have been a little nicer with some of the upper pier and right side cropped out to bring the horizon line a little higher while eliminating unnecessary and uninteresting detail. Beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing. anne :-)

There are tons of websites for uploading snapshots - photos of your neice, back yard, etc. "Caedes Man" did not start this website for that purpose. His intent was to offer a venue for folks to share artistic images that could be used as desktop backgrounds. Does anyone really want an out of focus shot of a dog for a desktop background? probably not. Let's share the good stuff and help others by telling them what's good or how to improve an image. We could all make Caedes a great site for everyone and use those other places for the snapshot sharing. A first rate family snap sharing website is www.easysite.com. FREE website to share all your snaps plus a whole lot more. Thanks for giving honest and usable feedback. Blessings to all, anne :-)
