Well, it's not really a gold fish. This is actually one sort of barbs - Barbus Conchonius. The one on the left is definitely a male, you can tell by the black marking on his back fin, and I can't make out what is the one on the right. Females are usualy not so redish in colour. However a very nice, peaceful and longliving fish. IMO, the pic would have been better if you cropped it a bit, focusing on the fish and not the surroundings.
