My Apophysis 1st try...

I didn't know what I was doing exactly but in the end this is what I came up with, I chose one random image and just played around with the almost all the editing options..

Please any comments and CRITIQUES are much appreciated. Also any hints on how to use this program would be much helpful as well! :) Thanks!

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

I can't offer a technical crit... I don't know squat about fractals.

Visually, though, I like the wispy feel of this. Nice colors. Something about it reminds me of blood in water. Cool first try.

For a first fractal this is really great Maca!!! I can see why you wanted the background black. Love the colors and the wild design!!! Give a holler if you need help.

Very interesting first try. Seems like charcoal drawing with some added colors. White background makes some difference.

I don't know anything about creating this type of fractal but it sure looks like a great first try to me...perhaps it just needs some smoothing out or cleaning up of some of the loose ends floating around...I'm sure one of the fractalists on here would be very helpful to you...to me the design puts me in mind of some dying embers of a fire...good work.

Like many of the people above I know nothing technical about fractals such as this but I do know that I really like this very much. It looks to me like a cartoon face as drawn by the British satirical cartoonist Gerald Scarfe. Keep it up, it's great.

Amazing first try. YOU can google for tutorials if you wish but i like the ones from www.deviantart.com, they are easy to follow.Good luck !

Hey Maca, so I have been playing in Apophysis for several years and always struggle to create fractals with anything but a black background. Everything I make with a white or light background turns out... well terrible... I'm a little jealous here.... lol. Great job. It looks fantastic. Keep playing and keep experimenting :) -JP
