I believe this is a coneflower, but I've never seen a yellow one, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Hope you'll take a look see anyway.

Carol - The center of the flower doesn't look like that of a coneflower. I'd go with rudbeckia. Protecting itself from the sun and heat, it does look like its ready for liftoff. Thad
