It looks pretty well maintained for a barn in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful capture and a perfect comp Carol! That brilliant red is gorgeous against the white snow!!!
A beautiful snap, Carol. How could you pass this up with that bright red standing out against the snow? I love the snow and fence with the hay coming through and the tree to the right of the barn. A really nice composition.
A lovely capture of this winter scene Carol. Good composition and focus in your photo. The bard really stands out in your photo with its brilliant colour.
Carol - Nicely done! The red color shows so well against the snow and winter-bare trees. Being in the middle of nowhere, this barn is in good shape. Thad
After three decades of life in the Midwest and three decades of life on the West Coast, you have captured one of the things that I miss about the Midwest in this beautiful red barn. Personally I would have preferred a little closer shot featuring the barn. All you would have had to do would have been to hop the barbed wire fence and trudge through the snow. You could have livened up your narrative with a nice tale about getting frost bite and getting caught on the barbed wire. Nonetheless, it's a true Midwestern winter scene. I like the bare trees and even the barbed wire fence. But the bright red barn is the best part for me.

P.S. Since this is entitled "Small Barn #2", I tried to locate "Small Barn #1"
Carol Its such a cute and looks so bright against that white snow. It does seem like these old barns are a dying breed. Its nice to see them in such good shape! Great shot! Paul
