A lovely looking rose Carol. Beautiful colours, details and nice lighting. The background could use a little cleaning up and maybe a touch of sharpness to the photo. Good work and thanks for sharing.
That's a beautiful flower, Carol. I hate to agree with Wendell since he's generally wrong about almost everything, but the background is a little too busy. The little white flowers tend to pull the eye away from the beauty of the rose. I have a terrible time photographing flowers; so I'm an expert on what's wrong with a flower shot. I probably would have tried to blur and/or clone out some of the background nearest the rose. However, I would have done an insufficient job. Wendell would then gleefully pounce on my failings. :-)
Now your lovely rose will last for always. I like this image very very much. The rose is perfect in detail and colour withy a gentle softness, and the fern and gypsophila frame it beautifully. A photo to be proud of Carol !!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Great looking capture of a rose and love the dark background to go with this collection of flowers.Plus i love the rich colours too in this shot as well.
