Found this house in among some grapevines. The bird had just gone in and did not come out until I walked away. Guess he/she didn't want their photo taken.

The bird was probably down in the laundry room and didn't hear you knocking over the noise of the washing machine. You should have left your calling card and returned for another visit when it was more convenient.
