I have been trying to learn to layer. I used a photo of an old school desk for the background and then an old school photo on top. This is how it turned out. Hope you'll take a look see.
This is amazing!! Congratulations. This image is a beauty. I gave up on trying to learn layering. Maybe I'll give it another go. If you don't mind my asking, what software did you use. I like everything about this shot.
I think it's interesting, though the composition appears off balance, with the bulk of the building, entrance and flag appearing all to one side. I thought a radical crop was the only answer, but tried flopping the image. It made a radical change, as out eyes tend to view and flow Left to Right in the Western hemisphere, and the empty space behind the school now tends to lead you directly into the subject material.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Carol - A creative use of a texture overlay i this image, using an old school desk over the image of the one room school house. Very well done. Out of curiosity, I wonder what the image would look like with the overlay being desaturated. Thad
