Inside the Norwegian Museum in Decorah Iowa stand these Scandinavian or Norwegian ships or maybe they are Swedish. I don't know much about them only they are amazing to see. How they made it across I can't imagine. There was no guide there in the building to explain the day I visited. I'll have to put a little more study into the subject I guess.

I bet it is a great place to visit Carol.
It is interesting to see a boat hanging from the rafters. :)

An interesting perspective on the sail, with the drapes/folds becoming more accentuated with light coming from the bottom-left. Bravo, Carol.

I found a picture of this on the net taken from above. That must have been amazing to see. I would love to see it myself. Excellent capture of the Trade Wind sails.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Carol, You've caught this subject very nicely with the lighting inside the museum.

Well whoever the ships belong to they sure got blown way off course if they ended up in Iowa. Maybe it's a good thing they donated their ships to the museum. :) If you see any farmers with horns you'll know they are the former sailors.
A nice angle and perspective in the photo, Carol.
