I do like trees that stand out on their own! .. .. and this is a good one!...
The dark gives it a bit of 'mood' but pretty easy to add a touch of 'lightness' to it!

I do like this Carol you compstion is one hundred percent with the tree on the right and hill running up to the left .And I love the shadow of the tree it makes this a very artistic looking capture and the white sky sure does bring out the detail in all of the trees .Well done to a well planed out photography .

The title I was thinking I'd see you and your shadow, lol. I really like this Carol, in full it looks like there is a rabbit sitting upright with his ear at alert on the hill to the left near the top of the hill,

Good composition of the scene and a nice capture of the lonely tree, Carol. I see the silhouette of the rabbit as well. I would get rid of the vignette effect and increase the brightness. That should give you the look you were going for with the photo.
