I don't know how many of you have read the book (Bridges of Madison County), but this is the one they call Cedar Covered Bridge. This bridge is located in Winterset, Iowa. A couple of weeks ago an arsonist set fire to this wonderful old bridge. Charred remains is all that is left. What a shame!

They arrested the arsonist today. A 17 year old kid. He had torched two covered bridges. The most recent, last Saturday.

Carol, I never saw the movie, but I do remember when it came out. I just shake my head in disgust. I read Lisa's comment, and so glad to hear the arrested the stupid punk. I hope they will rebuild it, there is one a little south of me, that someone torched, and thankfully they rebuilt it. I think your take, and presentation does it justice. tigs=^..^=

The white vignette works well in this photo. Fine details, lovely colors and basically a fine job of capturing this bridge in time before it was too late.
