Driving along I spotted this unusual cloud formation, looked like a dark and a light tornado at the same time. Didn't amount to much though, but I didn't hang around to see what it was going to do.
Carol, normally I use the Firefox browser, but Firefox didn't show your dramatic picture. After selecting another browser, I hadn't any problem to view your picture of this threatening weather. Think you've taken a wise decision in finding a shelter in time. Hanging around there would probably resulted in a soaking wet body or even in a risky situation. Still a great picture anyhow!

An awesome sight indeed, Carol. The safe thing to do is get out while you can. Tornados don't always show themselves but sometimes lurk in among the clouds. They can appear unexpectedly. I have narrowly escaped the path of several tornadoes. God spared me by seconds. In one instance there was blue skies and no hint of dark scary clouds then all of a sudden sister tornadoes came out and did massive devastation. You did the right thing not to hang around. By the way, I enjoy your image, Carol.
I tried two different browsers (Firefox & Google Chrome) and still can't view it Carol. I can see the thumbnail image in the New Image section but I can't enlarge it. I agree that you were wise to retreat. Hopefully I will be able to view it full size sometime.
Folks, I don't know what happened to my latest post. All I see on Caedes is my description of the cloud, but not the photo , don't know where it went and I don't even have it on my computer anywhere. Sorry!
