My Clematis is still blooming, has bloomed all Summer. It's the first year that it has done that. It won't be for much longer though I'm afraid as the Seasons keep turning.
Carol, to keep a clematis in good condition for as long as possible, this trick is often used: the base of the clematis is covered with a stone roof tile, so that it remains moist even when the sun shines profusely. Your clematis will reward you with an exuberant bloom. Therefore I suppose the weather conditions for this clematis must have been good this year. In any case you have provided us with a very nice Foofy Friday (F²) contribution. Thanks for that.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

How lovely Carol ! Mine has just started to flower now that Spring has arrived. Cornelius' tip about the tile is a good one. My clematis is against the house and is in an extremely dry spot. I have the area surrounding the base of it covered with rocks.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
