Very interesting photo - I like that you took it at an angle. It is a very hypnotic photo - can't stop staring at it! Though I think you should have cropped out the advertisement in the bottom right corner.
Agree with above comments Steb, it is a neat photo, but the eyes tend to wander ( not always a bad thing) :) & the pic needs to be rotated so it is level. I give you points for originality!! Thank you!
Thanks Mimi, I take your point about it looking "crooked". In fact it is close to level. The horizontal lines in the photo - for example the lines which you could draw through a row of seats - are huge ovals and they are well above where I was sitting and photographed, as you can see, from an angle. When you do this the perspective means that horizontals tend to move upwards as they come towards you. The camera may not have been perfectly level, but I think you would see this effect of perspective anyway.
Great composition Steb, I was just saying that the photos I take at the SCG later this summer should be categorised as 'places of worship', I think this definitely fits that category also:) Let the games begin...
