Man it's getting hard to come up with titles! This is one of the more creative window sculptures at the "Castelo De Pena" castle in Sintra, Portugal. Handsome, isn't he? :) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: In response to some of the comments about the window, I agree that the window takes away some of the effect, however, I was at a disadvantage because had I lowered the scene I would have captured a bunch of passing heads from the tourists below. Comments appreciated! :)

<lol> quite a wall flower. I wonder if he's just shy. I wonder even more what the artist was thinking when he carved it. Wonderful capture though. I think I would have left out the windoe or included the whole thing though. Having it half chopped off is kindof disturbing to the eye flow.

He looks like a rather grumpy sprite, or something of the like. The detail on the statue is absolutely amazing, and the way the entire sculpture blends together [from the roots of the tree becoming his hair to his legs becoming fins] is really interesting.

I'm going with ChainMaker and saying that it's a wonderful capture, but that the window should have been cut out a bit. Perhaps more of the plants, and less of the window?

Who is this fella ??? Has he a dual personality maybe Atlas/Neptune ... some sort of link between Land and Sea ??? someone must know ??? ... Anyway! your image of this grumpy looking fella has had the desired effect to the viewer ... I would have prefered to see him centralised in picture as well ... apart from that great capture and subject matter ... Colin
