I think it's amazing and very nicely done! No...the background is not too dark...but maybe I'd have chosen a less patterned style that doesn't steal the limelight from the butterfly. That's IF I even had a clue how to do this at all, which I do not. :) You are very talented. I'd give it a 10 in VB if I had it!

I have to agree with madmaven that the background is maybe little too "patterned", but that butterfly looks amazing! Those metallic wings... great!

My hardware is Samsung Digimax A503 5MP, so that makes photographing just a hobby for me...
Absolutely beautiful Johanna. You put a lot of work into it.Your curves in your butterfly are so smooth. A lot of layer work here I bet. A nice choice of background and it doesn't seem to dark for me. A very nice imagination.
