Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Oh, sorry ... yeah ... I'm still here ... dropped my jaw somewheres around here ...
:oP
Beautiful shot Chip.
Bit different from you, insofar as what I have been fortunate to see of your work.
If I may get this out of the way (and buy some time to look up some new descriptors :oP)... what kind of lens did you shoot this with?
I don't want to use the term 'barreling', as it is not the most appropriate I don't think ... however, the curvature of your image here ... uhm, how? lol
At first I wasn't sure if that visual element (real or just perceived on my part) added some value or no.
Think this one is just about creating a feel and mood, which you have done wonderfully. The suspension of disbelief no longer becomes a matter of consideration.
Huh ... so these are the kind of shots you can get while mountain biking, eh?
C'mon ... now your just showing off. :oD
It really is a gorgeous shot. Would have loved to have seen this firsthand ... but of course, your image will do nicely. :o)
