Remnants of hurricane Dean came across Mexico and up the coast to us and the Los Angeles area. We got a little bit of rain and some pretty cool clouds to shoot.
There it is again, your gift for simplicity. You also got that stormy light without it being dark and gloomy. Very clever of you. :) Nice shot Chip.

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

very nice, although i think you darkened the sky a little too much.
the highlights and shadows on the ground are fantastic, but at least on my monitor the shadows look like they could be darkened some.
do you have a shot of the same scene where you are looking straight down a row on the left or right side of the image instead of somewhere in the middle?
Oh boy, is that ever different. What a perspective. I like it: the dramatic sky, the cracks in the earth and the sheer drop off seen at the end of that one row. This is great. A keeper.

This is a stunning capture, amazing clouds and I love the feel with the darkness you have captured, the intensity of the greens and browns really shows the weather. Well done.
This is MY kind of photo Chipper!! Those clouds are wicked-good!! And the rows of grapevines..wow..(or are they something else?).The shadows between the rose are just magnificent..That is ONE heck of a magnificent shot!! Just adore it!! Bravo my friend!! VERena
