Lion (Kruger National Park) Seems as if had to protect his territory and pride a few times before... Just can't get enough of these lovely animals and always a bonus when you get to see them when going to the Kruger Park. This one and his wifey were all relaxed right next to the road when we found them. Not even disturbed by the vehicles admiring their beauty. Hope you enjoy!

Don't you feel like dunking him in the lake and giving him a nice soapy scrub? That mane should come up beautifully. :-) Apple-scented shampoo, I think. He looks a bit uneasy, as though he might get in a strop quite soon. Very interesting shot.

Beautiful shot -captures the true life of how these animals live. I like the fine details in the face and the shadings of color, etc. This is a "real" lion - the way they look in nature.
