This is a highland cow, there are a herd of them near my girl friends parents, normally they don't come anywhere near the fences but this time i got lucky!!

Egad, what a creature! (Not that I can tell for sure, but it looks to me more like a bull...) I'm sure they are gentle as any other cattle, but this one looks fierce!
