Those beautiful flowers, in their rich orange-yellow hues, almost look like silk! I love how bright they appear against the cool, stone backdrop. I also like the varying heights of the flowers in this snapshot because it creates several interest points for the eye to focus on. Nice one!

This is a very pretty planting of flowers and the orange/red shows up splendidly against the grey stone wall. I do believe they are tulips, rather than poppies, but whatever they are the photo is lovely.

Thank you for your wonderful comments! I wasn't sure myself if they were tulips or poppies, but it was well after tulip season when I took this photo so I thought they were poppies. Turns out though, they are (very hardy) tulips!
