Storm's a coming isn't it Terry. Lots of drama here with the sky so grey and moving in and yet again, there is blue just on the horizon so your description is very fitting. Well done.

Terry - the mood here is wonderful. I feel like I'm standing right there with you, looking out and anticipating one good storm happening! Wonderful!!!! - Patty
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
Everybody should know by now how much I love the ocean. I like this. There aren't very many ocean picks posted with stormy skies so this is different. Great capture. No need to thank me for viewing.

Well this does look like Lake Huron Terry...very nice composition to this shot...and mood and color of water is perfect...you can see rain in clouds on right of image...gerry..
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
You have captured the on coming storm with this shot! You can see that the water is choppy and the storm clouds are rolling in. Lovely capture of the weather report and I hope you ran for cover. This is moody as others have said. Is that a boat way out there on the horizon? Nicely captured, Terry.
I'm back. I love the subject but we need to work on the angle for better interest. There's a slight sense of visual chaos with the elements because they're vying for attention - log, fence and sky. I'm not sure in this instance where might have been a better place to stand, since I think the aim was to capture the mood of the weather but also create a focal point in the fence. The fence, horizon and cloudlines maintain a sense of order but the log creates tension. As difficult as it would be, I might have moved the log out of the scene altogether, or moved it into a position that would be more compatible with the rest of the image rather than a distraction. Does that make sense? Is this one you're able to get back to for a reshoot? Knowing Canada this time of year, getting the weather to cooperate shouldn't be a problem... LOL Blessings, anne :-)

Terry, I think it looks just great as it is. You caught it as you saw it at the moment. The skies really do reflect your description. I think the fence adds character to it and I like the way it leads down to the edge of the water.Nice work.
