All the leaves have turned to cornflakes.
It looks as though some giant's baby brother
had tipped the box,
And scattered them upon our lawn.
Millions of cornflakes,
crunching under our feet.
How lovely it is when unexpected blessings come into my life to cheer me up and put a smile into my heart. Help me to pass them on, dear Lord. Fay Angus
hahaha, love your title and the unique way of describing these fallen leaves...never thought of it that way before but you're absolutely right, they DO look like corn flakes...nice variation of color on the ones remaining on the tree...nice shot.:Pat.
Terrific vibrant color here and the title is too cool Terry. Love all the fall color mixed in with green. It's just perfectly composed with clear and crisp corn flakes everywhere ;) Very nicely done.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
I love the colors and the look of the autumn season and your image has captured this well! This is very pretty, thanx for sharing this festive image! Into my favs it goes...I always have room for great images such as this. :)
What a beautiful Fall image, Terry! On your front lawn? It's lovely and what a treat to see this every year! Just be glad he didn't spill the Cocoa Puffs!! LOL
Now, I've heard of "Trix" hills with all the different colors, but this appelation is a new one on me, and fitting :) Your composition is very nicely done with the lovely tree and the scattering of the leaves, and not from that little beauty in the middle. It must have an even bigger brother hiding somewhere off stage :) I like the positioning of the pumpkins and they do a great job of pointing up the oranges that you've gathered for us to enjoy. I do appreciate the greens in here as they are a perfect foil for the intense color, and it seems to be a good year for that particular mix, although you must be getting some frost to encourage this kind of beautiful foliage color. The framing is nice with the spot of green hedge anchoring down the lower left-hand corner and the brick building in the background doesn't detract, but adds a tinge of "oh, I wish that were on my front lawn" feel :) However, even after viewing all the wonderfully positive detail here, I still want, for some reason unknown, to see the top of the sapling, or at least what could be interpreted as being close to the top. It's as if someone came in and knocked off its head...lol...oh, and another thing while we're on the subject, I hope that bad boy that tipped over the cornflake box is still around when it comes time to get out the well-worn rake and help clean up the mess...very colorful and a pleasing fall post..thanks :)PJ
Terrific title. I can't believe that so many leaves have fallen there. It doesn't seem that so many have hit the ground here yet. I suppose all we need is one big wind. This is a clever composition so fiery and bright. I like the dark green for contrast too and of course, it was composed excellently.
Very apt description and a very attractive shot. Am I really the first person on this thread to wonder if they also taste better than cornflakes? Autumn (we don't call it fall in the UK) leaf-drop hasn't really started here yet, but I doubt we would have anything prettier in our suburbs than the shot you have graced our screens with.
Looks like Fall has officially come to your home Terry. I had never thought about it before, but you're right, that's exactly what the leaves sound like LOL. Such pretty colors on these leaves too. Thanks for sharing.
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.
