Composition-wise, I like the way the two bodies of water are divided by the sandbar in the middle of the take. It creates an interesting focal point that underscores the reflection of the sky and bolsters your theme. I love October skies. And I'm so glad you included the poem, because I am wont to quote that last part, your title, but I had long forgotten where it came from. I was just viewing it again, and I also wanted to comment that the sandbar also gives this an extra punch as far as the depth of field goes, because it creates an extra "frame" so we have three separate and distinct areas for our eyes to explore. In the foreground the delicate greens still hanging on paint a pretty compliment on the first area of water while in the back the water is again framed on three sides with the trees to the left and right on the sandbar and the greens and touches of fall colors for the background frame. Of course the star of this show is the bright blue sky and everything else is lifted off the page by its performance. This is a very lovely scene. :)PJ
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Very colorful and beautiful picture, captured perfectly. Love the reflections in the water and the crisp refreshing color changes on the trees. Excellent post. Andy
What a stunning composition, Terry! One of your best yet. The colours of the water and sky, and rich tapestry of herbiage, in combination with the zigzag of water margins makes for a marvellous image. I especially like the way the vegetation on the sandbar draws back a little, like stage curtains, to reveal the farther shore. Great work!

Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me for my comments.
Breathtaking view! The crispness is amazing and colors absolutely stunning. Composition is superb. I could look at that all day... hrmm, I think I shall, as desktop wallpaper! Into my faves too :)
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.

Terry, this is a super comp with great color and contrast. Excellent reflections. The poem is so fitting. I saw skies like this recently. Nothing like October colors in the right year, eh? Weather has been beautiful which makes those reds and yellows just pop out. anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they've got a second. Give your dreams all you've got and you'll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you.
OOh what a view you've treated us with Terry. Goegeous Fall colors, beautiful water and sky. Looks like the perfect place to be.Perfectly composed and so beautiful to look at.
