A little extra nitrogen and these raiders will burn themselves out. Just think of the joy children blowing the little "parachutes" into the wind. The gardener's nightmare turns into children's laughter. Not a bad trade for a bad dream.
A white globe of life about to leave its host and create a thousand copies.
Ann, you are doing so very well with your macros. The detail in this one is excellent. Your subject is different from the norm and thus interesting and fresh. You have a wonderful capture.
Great shot Ann! They wouldn't be any headache for Persian gardeners: Persians consider them bearers of good news! The Persian name for them -Ghasedak- literally translates into "little messenger"! A lovely picture with amazing detail and clarity!
Has the world gone mad? Iranians consider them bearers of good news? What good news? That their yards will be taken over by pretty little yellow flowers, that don't last too long, and then turn into fluffy white flowers for a short time, and then just a stem with no flower at all? That their yards will then be covered with the ugliest green leafy weeds known to man? Then they choke out all the beautiful green grass. Maybe they don't have lawn mowers over there, and that's why they like them so much. No grass to mow. Well, I don't like them, can't stand the sight of them, and will keep on killing them until they have stopped invading my yard. And that's all I have to say about that. LOL. .....But I like your picture, Ann. You have made those scoundrels look so innocent. Very good close up.
