It is a Ninja Star Throwing Thing - blue. Also comes in silver and in a yard near you! lol. Very nice capture, Ann, but I too, do not know the correct name of your beautiful plant.

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

Hello everyone, this is a Bachelor's Button! It is a perennial bachelor button, I have them planted in my garden and they are quite large in comparison to the wild ones you will see!

This is a winner for sure, Ann. Not only are the flowers beautiful, but the focus and detail are perfect. I love the lighting on them, too. Super post.

Gorgeous shot Ann.
I like the name Batchelors Button - I have never heard it called that here - Centaurea montana it is known as - I just call them cornflowers. Once you have them they are the devil to get rid of - but who would want to :)

Yep, Looks like a member of the cornflower family. We have the red ones and orange here. Must remember to take the camera next time I'm going through the airport security buffer. Full of cornflowers and indian paintbrush...and just plain weeds.

Supper capture.
