Upon visiting Canterbury last weekend, I spotted this gatehouse which is the entrance to the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral. As you can see it has a great deal of interest in itself. Unfortunately I didnt go in the cathedral on this occasion.

WOW Ann, this is really a gorgeous pice of architecture with magnificent detail. The smaller shields have so much colour and texture. This capture really has great detail, colour and clarity. BRAVO - I love old churches.

Aren't buildings of yesteryear a marvel. An absolutely beautiful building and you've done this grand old dame a justice with your capture of her.

That's a gorgeous structure. It looks like the figure in the center is about to jump, or fall forward. Excellent detail and centering of the shot. Really nice work, Ann.

Great shot Ann! It's detailed, clear and well-composed. But I can't help noticing you picking up my habit of having your eyes (and your camera) in the sky!! Be careful not to fall!! LOL!!

Love the angle on this one, great job with clarity and framing. I get a real feel for the height of this beautiful piece of architecture. Colors are fantastic too, the sky, and the colors on the building.

The large central figure is very imposing, & I see some paint, & gilt still remains which is unusual. An interesting shot I'd like to know more about.

Well done Ann
