I visited a little village in South Derbyshire several weeks ago called Ticknall. Its a rural community and they have a tradition each year of residents and businesses making a scarecrow and seeing who can make the best one. They are dotted all over the village. The public go around the village and see if they can catch sight of these and may also vote for the best one. Well I thought Id put a few of them together of the ones that were my favourite including the 'aircrow'!!! ha ha Also you can see the scarecrow firemen trying to rescue a damsel in distress in slight undress!!! Part of the humour and fun of the day! Hope you enjoy seeing these as much as we did.

The residents of Ticknall take the scarecrow contest very seriously, & the results are very funny. I had to blow up your thumbnail up several times to get the full effect.
