Another comment...{sorry}...I keep staring...your lady, she is such a scene stealer! I ache just looking at her. She seems weary. I'd LOVE for her to cook for me! :)

I really like this image a lot. I wish that you would have captured more of the left side of the image and the room.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

Lots to think about here. I agree that you might have re-oriented a bit to the left, but a great shot as is. - Dave

Interesting picture. You have captured something here. The woman to the left seems to be expressionless which again fits in with this shot. Great image. Nicely taken.

The woman is as hard as her surroundings. Her bleak, dark expression fits this place well.

You're really not kind to post and interesting photo like this and not tell us bout it. Poor form. But it is a very interesting image. You can kick it up in photoshop, bringing out the details in the shadows and improving the lighting on the old woman's face. First I'd attack it with the levels control then I'd use the dodge tool on low percentage with a large fuzzy brush to bring out the woman's face. So PLEASE tell us more about this image.

But what exactly do you want me to tell about this picture? The exact geographical place in which this picture was taken? Something about the old lady's life? I just don't see the reason of this describing, in my opinion, the picture is what tells the whole story. Plus, I think that my photography has not much to do with literature. Thats basically the point why I dont add any information to my photos. I leave it for you to make the explanation of the photo.

A wonderful picture with interesting subject matter. This makes me wonder what the lady is thinking-whether she's sad or upset-her face is very expressive. And the pots 'n' pans add interest and the old stove. This is a story in the making. I think you did a WONDERFUL job with this image-thanks for sharing it...

Yes ... a jumping off point for interpretation.

No more needs to be said ... the image, literally speaks for itself and to you.

I cannot fault any viewer for wanting to know more. Can you? Is that not also what you do? And no, no slight intended whatsoever ... none ... it just brings the point that you make ... back onto the person who saw this first with their minds' eye.

I think it is a very high compliment. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Another well done image Arnis! This image leaves the viewer with much to ponder....how many meals have been cooke din those pots? What kind of conditions has this woman lived in during her life? It is much like the 5 questions, who, what, where, when & how. None of these need to be answered, it is simply that your wondrous capture gives me those thoughts. Thank you for jump starting my brain and giving my eyes such an incredible photo to view. I tip my hat to you. Thank you for sharing this with us :~)
