It's like the bee wasn't even moving (except for the winged blur) - wow! So amazingly crisp, aside from also being so well framed, and an interesting subject. Hmm now that I think of it, it must have smelled nice standing near that tree. :)
Excellent clarity, you stopped that bee dead in its tracks! Your color is really beautiful in the sunlight, right down to that tiny touch of pink around some of the edges of the blossoms.
May I speak honestly? With spring upon us the site is inundated with posts of flowers, blooms, and the like (to be sure I've posted a few of my own). It is difficult to get that one capture that stands out head and shoulders above the rest.
We have it right here. The tremendous c-index is well deserved, I just rated it very highly in the VB myself. The clarity of the over-all shot is superb, but the Bee caught in midflight is one of the best in flight captures I've ever seen. Very, very well done and congrats on the superb c-index rating!

"WOW! What a ride!"'
Congrats to the great c-index Tom! This image is the best I have seen. How you have captured the bee with such clarity is excellent! The flowers are wonderfully captured too! Fantastic work and a very well deserved c-index! +favs
