We have had little fall foliage this year but I found some at this bend in the river.

Tom - As you know, the tropical storm salt water-blasted foliage near the shorelines, making autumn foliage more muted in color. With the nearby grasses, the soft tones of the trees in this image make a very pleasing image. Well done! Thad

I'm down to 53 comments to go; so this'll be a little shorter than usual. Excellent shot. Well balanced. Finely focused. Great colors. I thought about cropping out some of the sky but decided those beautiful clouds should stay right where they are. I am curious about those structures around the water. If they were higher in the trees I would say they are bat houses. Excuse me for livin' but I can't find anything about this shot that bothers me in the least.

Beautifully composed. The bend of the river adds interest. I'm struck by the details of the trees in the distance. Enjoy the early autumn colors and layers through out.
