That must be the garden with the iron work and steps. What a lovely place. Seems very much a shade garden, but a wonderful place to retire in the heat of Summer.
Ponds, in garden or elsewhere, are always better without koi fish - this is my personal opnion. Just imagine you invite me and my Boris for a short visit and the dog jumps straight into the pond scaring the fish, destroying the water plants and generally the shape / arrangement of the otherwise good-looking pond.... So either keep your ponds or keep my company HOWGH. SAM
Nice, natural looking pond setup and nice photo of the same, Tom. I had built a small pond/water feature & had a few koi & goldfish in it until the winter rains came. Water then got under the liner & hydraulic pressure dumped water, fish, & plants out onto the ground. So much for my pond experience. I agree with Marzena regarding koi. It's a lot easier to just have plants, less work & just as nice. But to each his own. ...Ed
Tom - If this is part of the garden from which you showed the stepped entrance, and their names are Eve and Adam, then you are in paradise. What a gorgeous work they have created, and you have photographed well. Thad
