This is the same day as the Cold Atlantic photo I posted. Very cold air causes this strange fog cloud which has the sea water swirl and spin up into it. There is some burn out in this photo but this is pretty much how it looked , blurry and very bright.

I like it because it is true to life, and shows the power of nature. I think you handled a difficult shot very well. tigs=^..^=

Tom, In my active career I've seen a similar phenomenon while sailing in the Sargasso Sea with my ship. It was rather spooky and was called 'arctic smoke'. The spooky character was enhanced by huge fields of yellow/brown just submerged seaweed. Due to the risk that the propeller might become out of order, we were more or less forced to reduce the speed. An experience I will never forget.

Excellent capture, my friend!

Have never seen such an unusual situation though it certainly is both unusual and interesting. Good work, Tom.

1. I gave one cred to our SEAS because of Sargasso Sea & his experience that I envy and admire !
2. If I get it right the cold wave goes in the bottom while the warm is the upper level and if the wind is to the east, the warm air should arrive here to Europe... In theory though. The reality is that no warming up can be expected in Europe.
Yours truly optimist with superior knowledge LOL
Seriously now - I agree with SAS [Sandi] that you succeeded perfectly well in handling this extraordinary subject.
Thanks & congratulations,

I kinda thought you were an ole sea man Cornelius and thanks for that info. Marzena , your narrative went way over my head , I will ponder it though.
