These rocks are under water at high tide. I do not know how these markings are created but find them interesting.

Interesting, almost looks like fossils are on or in some of them. Makes a great photo.

Wonderfully captured Tom - I assume marine life makes those marks at high tide and the sun dries them off and unto the rocks.

i seen this type of marking before on rocks in low water tables for the yr, not in sea water though, bateria or mold from spores... the things that start life. maybe dryed out, or so it seems. nature is amazing. interesting!!
