Wonderful sunrise shot. You need more clouds though to add to the drama, but you did good with what was available. We are coming to the time of year when the clouds will disappear for six months here. I envy you. Looks like a lovely spot. No noise, no blur fine colors.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
Probably in contrary what Dorothy suggests above, a cloudy atmosphere may has enhanced the drama to the scene somewhat, but not always it's beauty, Tom, because clouds at sunrise aren't a guarantee for a moody atmosphere. It could be even on the contrary: even diminishing its moody character. To me it's a well chosen moody sunrise composition, my friend.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I believe the rock that they first moored to is under water Alex , they one on display is a replica. The first pilgrim settlement is right about where I was standing for this photo.
