This was taken at the same time as the photo I posted " Country color". This is just to the left of it. I took about 6 shots here and made about 10 different edits in the past few weeks.I like this scene and have been using them as a desktops from time to time. Reluctant to post it though as my taste runs wild sometimes and I didn`t think it a good idea to post it , the comp is strange. Please feel free to tell me what you think if you want , I can handle it.

Tom I only wish the shade didnt take away so much of the picture.

Tom, I agree with Victor about the shaded area in your photograph.
With a good photo editor you could lighten the dark area a bit. As an example I mention Photoshop: select the dark area and then apply 'Ctrl L' so that the area is slightly brightened. You could also select the sky afterwards. In this case, make the selected area less light with 'Ctrl L' too (so in the opposite way). In this case, the washed-out sky will disappear.
The beautiful composition is worth trying and would do more justice to the beauty of the beautiful scene, but of course it's up to you whether to give it a try or not.

The composition does not bother me at all! I love the display of color and lighting, and as for the dark area I just think a little less of it would be better. It's a fine photo and post my friend. tigs=^..^=

The dark area does not bother me either - that is way our eyes see scenes such as this with this type of lighting - I much prefer this to a scene washed out with too much contrast. It's a beauty.

I am immensely grateful to get this feedback and input from everyone. I did lighten the dark area and fussed with it and settled with this because I thought it looked much worse lightened to much , there just was not enough information available from the photo in the setting that I used and it looked washed out. I did not try the techniques that Cornelius mentioned however , which I will and see what happens. Trying to make a photo that is lacking in many ways work somehow often leads me to accept things after a while that I might not have to begin with , one gets used to the flaws and starts to accept them I figure. Thanks everyone for this beneficial input.

OK, I will tell you what I think about this, probably in all your amazing captures, this is just about my most favorite. Wow, I never imagined that in my lifetime I would be viewing something on a computer and felt like I could walk through the screen and enter this wonderous creation by mother nature. Favorite.

The shadowed area has its own beauty and just adds to rest of this amazing photo. Good work!
