A walk through the woods and up this path leads to the beach just beyond the fence. I believe these flowers are wild roses which are plentiful around here.
Tom, the depicted wild roses in your very fine sand dune photograph, are too small for a proper identification. But I don't exclude that they are Rosa rugosa roses. One of the common names is 'beach rose'. Lovely and well composed scene!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
